Our Vision and Mission
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will grow as a servant body reaching out to our neighborhood and our community, sharing God’s grace and serving as the “Body of Christ” in this time and place.
As people forgiven and called by God we proclaim the Good News of Christ by serving both the physical and spiritual needs of people in our changing community. God can change the world through us if we’ll let him. Jesus has plans for us all to do meaningful things all over the world, including our own homes.
We serve other people through various ministries and encourage and equip each other for ministry in our daily lives. Service to our community is done through various ministries including the Daybreak Shelter Network, Stephen Ministry, Snow-Cap, English as a Second Language classes held at our building (please call for current times), Eastco Loaves and Fishes, Habitat for Humanity, House of Zion, and Lutheran Community Services Northwest. We are also strongly committed to the greater Lutheran services such as Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Disaster Response, ELCA World Hunger Appeal and the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.
If this sounds like something you want to be a part of, you’re are warmly invited to become part of the “Body of Christ” in this time and place. We welcome all people, all races, abilities, and sexual orientations, to join us. Join us in worshiping, growing, and helping.
