Gethsemane Lutheran is an ELCA Lutheran church located in SE Portland, OR.
We are a part of the Oregon Synod and the Mt. Hood Cluster.

Vision and Mission
Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will grow as a servant body reaching out to our neighborhood and our community, sharing God’s grace and serving as the “Body of Christ” in this time and place.
As people forgiven and called by God we proclaim the Good News of Christ by serving both the physical and spiritual needs of people in our changing community. God can change the world through us. Jesus has plans for us all to do meaningful things all over the world, including our own homes.
We serve other people through various ministries and encourage and equip each other for ministry in our daily lives. Service to our community is done through various ministries including Snow-Cap, Eastco Loaves and Fishes, Habitat for Humanity, Friends of Trees, House of Zion, and Lutheran Community Services Northwest. We are also strongly committed to the greater Lutheran services such as Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Disaster Response, ELCA World Hunger Appeal and the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service.
