On Sunday, September 13th and Sunday, September 20th, we will be collecting a special/second offering. Look for the BASKETS rather than the plates, OR the special offering envelopes that will be stamped and labeled for the Coats For Kids Coat Drive. If you would like to make a gift but are not physically present, you can send a check to church with “special offering” or “COATS” in the memo line.
This special/second offering does not cancel out the Change for Good/Open Hands jar. It’s meant to be a way for us to clearly name the outreach work that our dollars go to and place it seasonally at a time where it can do the most good! If this special offering goes well, the council is hoping to name/notice quarterly opportunities for special offerings like this. When we collect our dollars together, we can all do more good in the world!
